A Casual, Simple Wedding at Seventh Son Brewing Co. in Columbus, Ohio

Jenine Monks (32, an interior designer) and Alex Romstedt (33, a social worker) met through their roommates dating one another. Although they had both just gotten out of relationships, Alex persistently asked Jenine out until she agreed. They dated for seven years before they were engaged, and started planning their wedding. The couple chose to have their ceremony at the Town Hall in The Ohio Village, which resembles the small towns during the early settlements in Ohio. Following the ceremony was the reception at Seventh Son, a small local brewery just down the street. Due to the nature of having a fall wedding and a brewery reception, the couple decided to have a wedding based off of Oktoberfest. The classic black and white color palette chosen by the couple had touches of berry tones. Jenine held a bouquet of proteas accented with geranium leaves and salvia. A green garland decorated a wooden structure inside the brewery, which was the bride’s favorite arrangement at the reception. The brewery provided a wide variety of beer, as well as signature drinks and wine. To keep with the Oktoberfest theme, guests were served pork and sweet potato schnitzel, Bavarian pretzels and potato salad.
