A Casual Rustic Reception at Historic Malbis Greenhouse in Daphne, Alabama

Elizabeth McLain (21 and a photographer) met Timmy Goldman (25 and in sales) while she was singing at a youth group worship night but never heard her sing again. It was only fitting that she surprised him with a personally recorded song as she walked down the aisle during their rustic ceremony at Historic Malbis Greenhouse in Daphne, Alabama. As a wedding photographer, Elizabeth has seen it all and strove to design, craft or build every aspect of their relaxed red, teal and gray celebration. Rectangle tables filled the reception and were topped with Mason jars and white painted wine bottles—all filled with a mixture of cotton, wax flowers, red berries, yellow Billy balls and baby's breath. A motif of "Best Day Ever" was carried through the paper goods and favors to even the burlap cake topper. "Our reception was interesting since we got married during the Iron Bowl and we live in Alabama," says Elizabeth. "We had a good Southern buffet, a special mountain dew fountain surprise for my groom and a 55 inch TV that had the game playing live!"
