A Casual, Natural Wedding at Malibu Cafe at Calamigos Ranch in Malibu, California
There’s nothing like an intimate, casual and (most important) relaxed wedding on the beach. Noelia Traube (33 and in pharmaceutical clinical research) and Jason Rycerz (39 and a fitness trainer) had their wedding ceremony near the beach waterfront of Point Dume State Park in Malibu, California, just yards away from where they had become engaged 9 months earlier. Rows of white folding chairs faced the wedding arch draped in white linens and decorated in arrangements of white flowers, where the couple said their vows to each other. Minimal decor was needed, since the romantic, natural ambience of the beach did all the work. The reception that followed was held outside at Malibu Cafe at Calamigos Ranch in Malibu, California, where rustic elements of burlap, lace and wood decorated the space, captured by Altar Image Photography. The couple purchased bunches of local flowers and arranged the reception centerpieces themselves, filled with ivory flowers accented with hypericum berries and baby’s breath. After the chicken, fish and steak dinners had been polished off, we loved that the meal truly ended on a sweet note -- thanks to the cake baked by The Butter End Cakery. The three-tier ivory wedding cake accented with burlap and green succulents was perched on top of a wooden slab, embodying the true rustic nature of the wedding.
