A Casual Morning Wedding at The Reata in Fort Worth, Texas
College sweethearts Nina Maloney (24 and a clinical dietician) and David Poyourow (24 and an auditor) met and fell in love in Fort Worth, Texas, so it seemed right for them to get married there, too. The oversized windows at the Marty Leonard Chapel let in plenty of light for their morning ceremony -- in fact, Nina and David didn’t even need to add anything to the already beautiful, rustic space to create the aura they wanted. ESP Events helped them run with their idea of a casual brunch reception, which they brought to the middle of downtown Fort Worth at The Reata, an amazing open rooftop patio with modern architecture that embodied the Southwestern feel of the city. Charles DJ Lejends Carey got everyone out of their seats for plenty of dancing, but one of the best parts of the reception was the entertainment Nina and David brought in: cornhole, giant jenga, personalized mad libs and crossword puzzles that brought out a lot of laughs. Another fun detail? Instead of a wedding cake, Nina and David opted for a tower of donuts! See the details, captured by Lorena Burns Photography, below.
