A Casual, Intimate Wedding at Trust Restaurant in San Diego, California

Tina and Jon got married in a ceremony at the San Diego County Administrative Building and celebrated with a reception at Trust Restaurant. "We're both currently physicians in training (and live in different cities, San Diego and Los Angeles) so the inspiration for our wedding can be summed up as intimate, simple and affordable," the couple says. "We had our wedding ceremony with our immediate families in a simple courthouse setting and then a delicious dinner reception at one of our favorite restaurants with our closest friends and family." Almost every wedding decoration was DIY. Tina and Jon used the the restaurant's tables and chairs for reception seating, and they decorated the space with flower arrangements made by friends and family on the day of the wedding. Tina also wore two different dresses: a midi-length white lace dress for the courthouse ceremony and a modern off-the-shoulder red dress for the reception. She paired both outfits with glittery silver pumps.
Our favorite #MakeTradition Moment: Tina's red reception dress was a nod to her Chinese heritage. "Usually in Chinese culture, it's important to wear red to the reception, as it symbolizes prosperity, luck and happiness, so I wore my own version of a red dress," she says.
