A Casual Intimate Wedding at a Beach House in Destin, Florida

Sarah Teremi (31) and Mark Teremi (32) met at a local fair in Kentucky when they were 14-years-old and became engaged on her 30th birthday. Mark proposed in Washington Park in downtown Cincinnati before he took Sarah to her surprise birthday party. Over the next year, the couple planned a casual beach wedding accented in mint, green, blush and gold. “We chose the beach in Destin Florida for the white sand and blue water. We wanted a smaller, intimate wedding as we would have a huge wedding at home,” says Sarah. Inspired by Pinterest, the couple accented their ceremony with simple white sashes along each white folding chair. Sarah and Mark said “I do” under a white fabric draped bamboo wedding arch before going back to the beach house with their 36 guests. String lighting was hung over the courtyard as all were treated to a dinner of fried chicken, mashed potatoes, macaroni and cheese, green beans and cornbread cooked by Sarah’s parents. A three-tier ruffle detailed wedding cake accented with pink garden roses and white hydrangeas was served for dessert. Sarah, Mark and their guests spent the night dancing to local musician Chuck Lawson. To remember the day, each guest was given an M&M and Rolo candy filled glass bottle favor made by the bride.
