A Casual, Fun Wedding at Maymont Park in Richmond, Virginia

Jennifer Haydon (22, x-ray technician) and Hunter Kaiser (22, construction) have known each other since preschool. They dated in high school but broke up after two years. After that, the only times they talked were when Hunter was sent to the principal's office for getting into brawls with Jennifer's other boyfriends. Four years later, Hunter apologized for the fighting and he and Jennifer have been together ever since. Hunter proposed to Jennifer at a party with all their friends, and everyone set off fireworks after she said yes. The couple chose Maymont Park in Richmond, Virginia as their venue. The park is a favorite date spot and a place filled with childhood memories for Jennifer and Hunter. For their spring wedding, they kept things bright with a color palette of yellow, white and navy blue. They decided to keep things casual as far as fashion goes. "It's not about looks or putting on a fancy suit," says Jennifer. "At the end of the day, we still love each other no matter what." The ceremony was held outdoors and included a sand ceremony signifying the couple's unity. It ended with a classic horse and carriage to take away the newlyweds. The reception featured centerpieces of yellow and white daisies in mason jars filled with zesty yellow lemons. Burlap accents at the rustic wedding included table runners, bouquet wraps and takeaway bags for the navy and yellow candy bar. Jennifer and Haydon's Maymont Park wedding was casual, outdoorsy and tons of fun!
