A Casual, Elegant Wedding at Waybury Inn in East Middlebury, Vermont

David Ostrowski (44, a real estate agent) and Todd Pearce (39, a linguist) held their wedding at the Waybury Inn in East Middlebury, Vermont. "We chose Middlebury because that is where we met in 1997, and it holds a very special place in our hearts," the couple says. David and Todd   held their 2001 civil union at the Middlebury Inn and had come to know the owners and staff well over the years. Since the wedding took place in the summer, the couple went with a casual, seasonal theme, with sophisticated rustic touches in the decor. Studio SB took romantic photos of David and Todd in their gray Burberry suits before the outdoor ceremony, which then moved directly into the cocktail hour. At the reception, the couple did away with popular reception traditions, and in lieu of a cake cutting, they had a cupcake tower and a Ben & Jerry's ice cream cart. A tip from the couple: "Don't get caught up in the little details. Your guests won't notice the little things that you think aren't perfect. They are there for you. Enjoy!"
