A Casual, Elegant Wedding at Kurtz Orchards in Niagara-on-the-Lake, Ontario

Joanne Kells (33, a Medical Salesperson) and Phil Kells (44, a Grower) wanted their wedding to be a giant party with their family and friends--"good company, good food, good environment and good music," Joanne explains. The couple held their wedding at Kurtz Orchards, a picturesque site on Niagara-on-the-Lake in Ontario. A color palette of black, gold and blush pink brought out the romantic, glamorous touches of the couple's casual, elegant wedding. A standout detail? Joanne's dress! Working with Whyte Couture, a boutique that designs custom wedding dresses, Joanne and Whyte Couture designed a blush pink trumpet dress with chiffon, lace and tulle. Joanne wanted multiple looks for the day, so the bottom skirt was removable, allowing Joanne to attach a second skirt made of loose chiffon, bordered in lace, with a slit up the leg. To close out the night, Joanne changed into a short mini wedding dress so that she could dance the night away.
