A Casual Destination Wedding at Beaches Turks and Caicos Resort Villages and Spa in Providenciales, Turks and Caicos
After sharing a few mixed signals, Deniz Do (29) and Khoa Do (33) started dating in 2007 and became engaged on a trip to Hawaii four years later. Khoa popped the question with a custom cushion-cut diamond ring under a 125-foot waterfall. “I said yes quickly because I was so cold and wanted to get out of the water!” says Deniz. They spent the next year planning a neutral and green beach wedding in Turks and Caicos. “We wanted a small, intimate wedding and a weeklong vacation with the people we love the most,” says Deniz. While the couple chose Beaches Turks and Caicos Resort’s chic and natural wedding package, they made sure to include a few personal touches. Davina + Daniel captured every?moment as Deniz and Khoa?highlighted their natural setting with a neutral woven runner that led up the aisle to a simple bamboo arch. Deniz and Khoa exchanged vows as their 30 friends and family members watched from white chiavari chairs. After the ceremony, all returned to the resort for an outdoor reception complete with white chiavari chairs, neutral runners, neutral linens and lush green orchid centerpieces in breakaway wooden vases. Adding a colorful flair to the decor, Deniz and Khoa placed bright tissue paper pom-poms in between their star-shaped lantern string lighting and hung personal photos of their guests around the reception. All were treated to a two-tier mint and black wedding cake with white flowers before Deniz and Khoa finished the night on the dance floor.
