A Casual Colorful Wedding at the Morton Arboretum in Lisle, Illinois

Illinois-based couple Sarah (27 and a project manager) and Ben (29 and a postdoctoral research scientist) dated for 11 years before Ben popped the question near Sarah's hometown. "He proposed at the arboretum -- the same place where we ended up holding our wedding reception," Sarah explains. The couple exchanged vows at the church where Sarah grew up and later celebrated in a casual afternoon reception. "We opted for a low-key brunch reception with drinks on the patio, lawn games and pie for dessert," the bride says. "We omitted any traditions that didn't work for us, so the day was laid back and super-personal."
