A Casual Church Wedding and Backyard Reception in Charleston, South Carolina
Tessa Barone and Matt DiLeo had an "untraditional" two-day wedding in Charleston, South Carolina. On Friday evening, they had an intimate church ceremony at Redeemer Presbyterian Church, followed by a traditional confetti exit and a ride on a vintage Volkswagen bus. Tessa wore a simple, classic gown with a flowing cape. She accessorized with orange-yellow shoes and a bouquet of succulents for color. Matt went with a blue suit paired with a blue tie. On the second day, Tessa and Matt celebrated their marriage with a formal sit-down dinner in a friend's backyard. "We wined and dined and listened to the most hilarious and most meaningful speeches from the most important people in our lives," Tessa says. "Our guests were given handwritten notes. We wanted everyone present to know how loved they are by us." Guests sat at wooden picnic tables, where orange centerpieces and bowls of tangerines brought in the aesthetic from the previous day. When they weren't eating and drinking, guests sat on lounge furniture beneath a tent and twirled on a black-and-white dance floor. As personal touches, the couple had cups printed with images of their dogs, as well as cocktail napkins and a wedding cake inspired by the television show The Office.
