A Casual Boho Wedding at Hanley Farms in Central Point, Oregon
At Kelly and Gordon Casey's local farm wedding, the couple chose a 1960s and 1970s bohemian theme with lots of rich, bright colors. Kelly wore an ivory A-line dress with a deep neckline, tulle and dahlia flower appliqués, which she paired with her grandmother's vintage costume jewelry and a thrifted veil. Gordon sported a classic black and white suit with a casual hairstyle. The wedding party also continued the casual aesthetic with knee-length yellow dresses and white button-down shirts paired with dress pants. In fact, the bridesmaid dresses perfectly matched the marigold flowers lining the aisle. Most of the wedding's decorations were DIY or thrifted. "My mom and I had so much fun handpicking the decorations," Kelly says. "For the six months leading up to the wedding, we spent weekends going to all our favorite thrift spots across Oregon and hitting up garage sales searching for vintage lace table cloths, unique and colorful vases for the centerpieces , blankets for guests to hang out on in the grass and more. The bridesmaids and I threw all the finishing touches together the morning of the wedding." The couple also decorated with locally grown, organic flowers in shades of red, orange, pink and green. Guests ate catered Mexican food for dinner, and they nibbled on a miniature wedding cake and cupcakes for the dessert. "We also had our friend DJ the wedding with lots of old-school vinyl tracks and spent the evening socializing with our family and friends," Kelly says.
Our favorite #MakeTradition moment: "My husband and I hand-selected the flowers ourselves a few days ahead of the wedding off of a flower truck," Kelly says. "It was a super-special experience."
