A Casual Beach Wedding at Cap Maison in Saint Lucia
Emma Dunbar and Steven Mondolino had a casual, modern destination wedding at Cap Maison in Saint Lucia. After guests received welcome bags full of snacks, they headed outside for the tropical waterfront ceremony officiated by Emma's stepfather. The couple processed down an aisle decorated with red rose petals, and they wed underneath a wooden gazebo covered in topical flowers. "We did not have religious traditions, but we did incorporate some meaningful moments," Emma says. "We met on a beach in Long Beach Island, and we brought sand from that beach to mix with sand from Cap Maison. Our rings were also passed to each of our guests during the ceremony so everyone could share their love and blessings." The reception took place on a waterfront deck underneath dazzling string lights. The venue's natural beauty shone through the simple decorations, which included cheesecloth linens and colorful local flowers. Wine bottles with customized labels served as seating charts, and guests released Chinese lanterns over the ocean. Emma wore a bespoke mauve dress with white and beige lace flowers, and Steven donned a khaki-colored linen suit.
