A Casual and Sophisticated Destination Wedding at Lahaina Oceanfront Estate in Lahaina, Hawaii

If you ask Jess Hoffman (27 and a dance teacher) about the theme of her destination wedding to Ethan Berto (32 and a business owner) in Lahaina, Hawaii, it was clean and classy with a relaxed, beachy feel. Cheery shades of mint and coral, with touches of white and silver gave the day a touch of whimsy and fit the surroundings. For a subtle nod to their engagement, Jess and Ethan incorporated sand dollars throughout. "We used these not only because of their obvious beach theme, but because we got engaged in Mozambique, Africa, after a day exploring Pansy Island," Jess says. " 'Pansy,' is the word they use for sand dollar, and needless to say, we now have a special place in our hearts for sand dollars." Jess wore two different Maggie Sottero dresses: a ceremony dress and a reception dress. "Each dress highlighted my back and had just the right amount of sparkle for the beach," she says. For the ceremony she wore a sheath V-neck with an asymmetrical waist and beautiful crystal embellishments on the sleeves. "I loved how elegant it was without being too over the top or heavy for the beach," she says. After the ceremony she changed into a sexier look with an A-line silhouette and a crystal-embellished V-neck halter. "It was stunning and incredibly comfortable, which was a must for all that dancing," she says. —Meghan Overdeep
