A Burgundy Garden Wedding at the Conservatory at Sussex County Fairgrounds in Augusta, New Jersey
Lisa Esteves (30 and an HR generalist) couldn’t decide between pops of lilac, magenta or deep purple for her and Jaon Lalk (29 and a client director) chic garden wedding—so she used them all.
Lisa wore a long-sleeve ivory gown with a beaded bodice, silk skirt, illusion neckline and open back. She opted for her vintage-inspired hairstyle the day of the wedding. “I chopped my hair on the morning of the wedding because I couldn’t decide on a hairstyle,” she says of letting her stylist be creative. Jason donned a burgundy velvet suit jacket with matching burgundy socks.
Lisa carried a bouquet of roses, ranunculus and dinner plate dahlias in romantic shades of pink, purple and red.
“I had a vision of bringing a garden feel indoors,” Lisa says of the reception décor.
Lisa made the escort card display as her DIY project: rose gold hula hoops accented with fresh blooms and burgundy ribbon. “They were only supposed to be a display, but one person started the trend of ripping off their escort card—I should have foreseen this happening!” Lisa says of laughing about the snafu.
Flowers and berries decorated the couple’s naked cake.
