A Bright, Whimsical Wedding at Danville Bed and Breakfast in Geneva, Florida
With a 1940s-town setting inside the ballroom and a green tulle-covered drink station, whimsical does not begin to describe Leanne Davis (32 and an attorney) and Jason Hoskins’s (33 and in human resources) wedding! “We wanted something absolutely unique and fun. Danville Bed and Breakfast was all that and more,” says Leanne. Rows of white folding chairs faced a gold gazebo for the ceremony, as bushes of fuchsia blooms surrounded its base. After the couple completed a unity knot-tying tradition, the celebration continued with a memorable tented reception. Guests took their seats at family-style tables lined with light blue runners and vintage birdcages. For a fun twist, Garden Gate Florals surrounded each centerpiece with fuchsia ranunculus, yellow tulips and bright teal roses. “We are a very outgoing and adventurous couple, so bright spring colors were perfect,” says Leanne. Did we mention the couple’s entrance? After the wedding party was introduced, the back of their venue flipped up to reveal an airplane hangar-turned-1940s town with Leanne and Jason at the center! Their DJ, Chuck Johnson, played "Dance with Me Tonight" by Olly Murs and "Turn Down for What" by DJ Snake and Lil Jon as the couple did a choreographed dance. Guests snagged pictures in a photo booth and a few cupcakes before the couple’s parents ended the night with a commemorative video from their childhoods. Steven Miller Photography captured every moment of the day, below. Leanne shares a tip: “Have a detailed itinerary. You probably won't stick to it exactly, but it is a great help to your vendors and day-of coordinator.”
