A Bright Waterfront Wedding at Celebrations at the Bay in Pasadena, Maryland
Wendy Baker (27 and a technical editor) and Nathan Leber (30 and an operations supervisor) didn't overwhelm their springtime wedding with too many intricate details. Instead, they kept things simple and elegant. They chose a bright and breezy color palette of light blue, pale yellow and white that perfectly suited their waterside celebration. Wendy and Nathan were married on the dock at Celebrations at the Bay in Pasadena, Maryland, under a white arch decorated with white and yellow flowers tied together by light blue ribbon. The flower arrangements echoed Wendy's bouquet, which was made up of yellow and blush roses, white hydrangeas, white daisies and blue delphiniums. The bridesmaids wore cornflower blue dresses with yellow sashes and Wendy paired her ivory wedding dress with light blue Converse sneakers. Instead of decorating their reception tables with flower arrangements, Wendy and Nathan used seashells for the centerpieces to highlight the seaside setting. The hall at Celebrations at the Bay brought the outdoors in with its vaulted cathedral ceilings and wall of windows facing the ocean. What best reflected Wendy and Nathan at the wedding was the fun and intimate ceremony. A close friend officiated, and she started with the famous Princess Bride quote: "Mawage is wot bwings us togeder today." The Messenger Image was there to photograph the day.
