A Bright Vintage Wedding at MetroWest Golf Club in Orlando, Florida

Claire Longest (28 and an aerial performer) and Joshua (Josh) Arias (29 and an athletic trainer) met at Walt Disney World Resort and became engaged during a holiday party in their home. After their flower girls distracted Claire with a "housewarming dance," Josh gave a toast and surprised Claire with a visit from thier parents. He then dropped to one knee and popped the question. “It was truly the perfect proposal, and even better because everyone was there to share in on our happiness!” says Claire. Over the next 11 months, they planned a vintage garden wedding at the MetroWest Golf Club accented in bright shades of blue, pink, gold and peach. “I come from a family that has always been big antique collectors, so I have always loved having vintage detail in my life,” says Claire. The ceremony space was decorated with blue chair sashes, vintage green lanterns and baby's breath-filled white baskets. Claire and Josh were wed under a white?fabric-draped arch accented with garden roses, peonies, lavender and hydrangea in shades of pink. After their custom ceremony, 150 guests went into the country club’s second-floor balcony for a cocktail hour complete with bruschetta, vegetarian mince tarts and truffled mac and cheese bites. “It was perfect, because we did a few pictures after the ceremony and our guests were able to watch us from above,” says Claire. The couple then joined their friends and families for a vintage-accented reception adorned with postcard escort cards, books in their wedding colors, silver votives candles, floral table numbers, DIY painted resin birds and bright floral centerpieces wrapped with lace. Claire, Josh, and their guests spent the night dancing. They even did a conga line to "Jump in the Line" by Harry Belafonte! “Our dance floor was never empty,” says Claire. Each guest left the celebration with a birdhouse-shaped favor filled with the bride’s favorite candy - mini Cadbury eggs.
