A Bright, Traditional Wedding at Port Royal Club in Naples, Florida

From the yellow and white ceremony flowers to the bright printed linens, Amy Moglia (58 and an illustrator) and Paul Heuerman’s (54 and an attorney) traditional wedding was filled with pops of color. The couple started their day with a personal church ceremony. Amy held her sons’ hands as she walked down the aisle in a classic white wedding dress with an unexpected twist; it was chosen by Paul. The couple went shopping at Rhylan Lang Bridal in Nebraska when he pulled out the Hayley Paige dress. “I nearly fainted when I saw it. It was exactly what I wanted,” Amy says. A simple beaded belt accented her waist as she reached the altar. After the couple said “I do,” all moved to the nearby Port Royal Club for a reception bursting with shades of orange, coral and pink. Each cocktail table was paired with bright rose accents as guests took in the view of a six-foot tall, custom sand castle with the couple’s name. Inside, the colorful centerpieces stood out against all other decor. Garden District-Naples topped each silk linen with overflowing florals. “Rufino at Garden District-Naples is nothing short of a genius when it comes to flowers,” Amy says. Bright roses, hydrangeas and greenery topped glass trumpet vases and gold pedestal vases on each table. Instead of a wedding cake, Amy, Paul and their guests finished the night with an assortment of desserts ranging from shooters to pies and a late-night feast of sliders. Tonya Malay Photography captured these details and much more, below. For future couples, Amy shares: “Make choices. Everything doesn't have to be the best of the best, so pick your priorities.”
