A Bright Teal and Yellow Wedding at Tampa Bay History Center in Tampa, Florida
We can’t get enough of the bright details in this teal and yellow wedding. Jessica Maynard (33 and in human resources) and Mike Bundy (31 and in construction) started their day with a tented ceremony overlooking the Garrison Channel from Tampa Bay History Center. Apple Blossoms Floral Designs lined each row of white chairs with green hydrangea pomanders as Jessica followed her bridesmaids down the aisle in a classic white Melissa Sweet ball gown with an embroidered bodice and full chiffon skirt. For an unexpected twist, her bouquet included colorful birds of paradise, stargazer lilies and daisies to match their tropical theme. Mike met her in a gray suit and birds of paradise boutonniere. Once they exchanged vows, the party quickly continued with an indoor reception inspired by Florida. “We wanted our guests to have a glimpse of the Florida lifestyle and why we choose to put down roots in Tampa,” Jessica says. All enjoyed a relaxed atmosphere and mojito signature drink as they snapped a selfie for the guest book and found their sailboat, palm tree or swordfish-shape escort card. Each table was accented with a tall, eye-catching centerpiece of tropical orange and yellow blooms with teal beads at the base. After a few dances, a slice of their single-tier wedding cake and a cupcake, everyone ended the night with a simple, moonlit exit. Emily Katharine Photography captured every moment and detail, below. For future newlyweds, Jessica shares a tip for moments that may not go as planned: “Stay chill. The wedding is over before you know it, so try to enjoy it.”
