A Bright Spring Wedding at Raspberry Plain in Leesburg, Virginia
For their spring wedding, Betsey Morser (24 and a teacher) and Justin Sims (23 and a scientist) decided to keep their wedding style simple and traditional. Everything from the classic lavender font invites to the white wedding cake with a vintage-style topper was pretty and minimalistic. They rented a historic-style conservatory at Raspberry Plain for the day. Their ceremony took place outdoors in a garden with a hedge as their backdrop and then everyone went inside to the conservatory for dinner and dancing. "The large windows allowed for a lot of natural light, which looked amazing as the sun set throughout the evening," Betsey says. The reception tables were decorated with in-season bouquets of pink tulips and lavender—all arranged by Betsey and her mother. In keeping with their simple spring wedding style, the wedding party dressed the part: the groomsmen wore black tuxedos and the bridesmaids wore muted gray chiffon dresses. Betsey herself wore a beautiful lace wedding dress with cap sleeves and a V-neckline. Bonnie Sen Creative Photography was there to capture all the pretty details!
