A Bright Simple Wedding at Sequoyah Country Club in Oakland, California

When Megan Upham (38 and a financial consultant) met Andrew Hartman (38 and a project manager) at a group lunch, she knew right away she was interested. Andrew hadn't realized her interest until a little prompting from a friend led him in her direction. He was instantly captivated with her and the two began dating. Just 8 months later Andrew proposed on their favorite park bench where they had enjoyed countless sunsets over the bay. They wanted a venue that was meaningful to both of them and immediately chose Christ Episcopal Church in Alameda, CA, the parish they both attend. Their intimate ceremony of close friends and family was followed by a reception at the Sequoyah Country Club where a theme of simplicity and family filled the room. Brightly decorated with pinks and navy blue, the venue was perfect for both dining and dancing. Guests were served a delicious sit down dinner of salmon and filet mignon before they jumped up to get to dancing. An amazing dj had friends and family on the dance floor the entire night. The bride and groom sent home handmade favors of jam and grill rub for a personal thank you.
