A Bright Orange and Fuchsia Wedding at Smathers Beach in Key West, Florida
With only a few details, Arlysa Ford (30 and a registered nurse) and Shawn Fords (30 and a systems engineer) intimate wedding brought their fuchsia and orange palette to a new level. Say Yes In Key West, their planner, lined Smathers Beach in Key West, Floriday, with seashells and candlelit lanterns along a white runner as fuchsia and orange flower petals were scattered down the aisle. Arlysa and Shawn’s two guests took their seats in wooden chairs wrapped with fuchsia sashes as she made her entrance. Arlysa walked down the aisle in an ivory fit-and-flare wedding dress by Stella York that was covered in ruche detailing. A silver beaded accent was placed just above the knee and along her bodice for a fun touch. A few bold accessories finished the look. She wore a beaded headband and silver statement necklace and carried a fun arrangement of orange, fuchsia and purple blooms. Shawn met her at their bamboo wedding arch in a neutral vest and bright orange tie. Once they exchanged vows, they took to the beach for a few sunset photos by M&A Photography. (The last shot was both dramatic and beautiful.) To finish the night, Arlysa and Shawn did a champagne toast and sweet cake-cutting ceremony. Of course, the single-tier confection fit their color palette. Pink beads were set along the base as fuchsia orchids topped the cake. For future couples, Arlysa says to focus on what is best for you: “We thought that maybe we would have regrets because we chose to elope, but we couldn't have planned our day any better. We had a blast and enjoyed every second of it.”
