A Bright, Minimal Wedding at NEO on Locust in St. Louis, Missouri

"We were lucky that the Piper Palm House is such a beautiful space on its own—we didn't have to add a thing," Tiffini Hyatt (24 and a kindergarten teacher) says of her wedding to Travis Hamilton (24 and a doctoral student). For the reception at NEO on Locust, food was the focus . The pair treated their guests to a meal of Korean-Mexican fusion followed by a spread of vegan and gluten-free desserts. "Delicious food and dance are how we celebrate and express joy, so it was only natural those items inspired our wedding style," Tiffini says. But the memorable menu didn't end with the couple's cream-cheese-frosted cake. "We brought in an ice cream truck from Pirtle's Famous Ice Cream," Tiffini says. "My grandmother used to take my sister and me there growing up, so it was a sweet way to invoke her memory." Shortly after sharing a dance with his mother, Travis and his groomsmen surprised Tiffini with a choreographed routine to the tune of Bruno Mars's "Marry You." "I thought we'd do a grand exit at the end, but we were having so much fun that we danced until our venue closed," she says.
