A Bright Colorful Wedding at the Southernmost House in Key West, Florida
Kylie Walker and Kevin Starace had a casual pink and orange wedding at the Southernmost House in Key West, Florida. “We chose Key West because it is a fun and casual place and we wanted a location that our friends and family could come together and have a good time,” says Kylie. The couple had their ceremony overlooking the ocean with simple white chairs set up for their guests. The reception and cocktail hour were held around the venue’s pool. The couple’s sweetheart table was covered with pink linens and set at the end of the pool, overlooking the ocean. White round tables were set around the pool for Kylie and Kevin’s 58 friends and family members. Each table was set with chiavari chairs, white linens, alternating pink and orange napkin as well as a low floral centerpiece. The pink and orange centerpieces had pink hydrangeas and roses as well as orange orchids and calla lilies with orange slices covering the vase. “We wanted something that was casual, but also elegant,” says Kylie. Her and Kevin had multiple stations set around the pool for dinner including an open flame Polynesian style grill display with jerk chicken, a taco bar and a mashed potato bar. The guests were also given the choice of an Audi R8 groom’s cake or key lime two-tier wedding cake for dessert. “We chose to do a candy bar for our favors and included all our favorite candy, but only in pink and orange colors,” says Kylie. The couple’s photographer also took pictures of each individual guest to include in the thank you cards. The night continued past the reception with a trolley ride to Duval Street.
