A Bright, Colorful Wedding at LaPlaya Beach and Golf Resort in Naples, Florida

Everything about Dianna Kritz (40 and a nurse) and Eric Dybal’s (52 and a urologist) colorful wedding felt like a tropical getaway, from the bright floral ceremony accents to the coral bridesmaid dresses and palm-tree-lined ceremony space. Their celebration started with an outdoor cocktail hour, moved to a bright unity sand ceremony overlooking the beach and ended in a fun reception complete with pink uplighting. “Our only disaster was a bad storm that moved into Naples, Florida, the afternoon of the wedding,” says Dianna. “But the disaster turned into the best double rainbow imaginable during our ceremony. Our sunset beach wedding pictures are just fantastic!” The team at Botanicals on the Gulf was integral in incorporating the couple’s tropical beach theme into the entire day. “The flowers were all tropical with lots of coordinating and contrasting colors to provide a big, bold pop,” says Dianna. Eye-catching displays of pink cone gingers, orange protea, palm fronds, orange birds of paradise, green orchids and more atop simple clear-glass vases accented the ceremony aisle, altar space and reception tables. To highlight their bright accents, the couple used simple white stands, white linens and gold chiavari chairs as decor. One additional detail that could not be missed was the couple’s cake. Ella's Cakes baked a round three-tier white confection that was covered with delicate piping, white orchids and gold ribbons along the base of each tier.
