A Bright, Classic Wedding at the Taj Hotel in Boston, Massachusetts
Corina Roth (assistant VP at TJX Companies) and Guillaume Rousseau (works in fine jewelry sales for Tiffany & Co.) paired big city glamour with classic English garden elegance for an unforgettable event. Whimsical rose gold script, botanical liners and pink ombré watercolor lent a modern, romantic look to the couple’s wedding invitations. “Although neither of us are Boston natives, we decided to get married in the city where we met and fell in love,” Corina says. Welcome kits equipped with Massachusetts-made treats such as Samuel Adams beer, Cape Cod Potato Chips and McCrea’s caramels gave guests a taste of local flavor. The couple ensured the meal was one to remember with wine pairings and a made-to-order crepe station. Suspended centerpieces featuring glass orbs and greenery transformed the modern ballroom into a picturesque garden. “Our reception space remained a secret, hiding behind layers of white fabric,” Corina says. After dinner, the newlyweds served croquembouche instead of traditional wedding cake, paying tribute to Guillaume’s French roots. Wanting their guests to take a little piece of French culture away with them, Corina and Guilaume sent everyone home with mini bottles of Moët rosé champagne at the end of the night.
