rn The beautiful waterfront location and naturally lit space inside Sequoia in Washington, DC, fit the summer season wonderfully for the nuptials of Jenna Engelmann (30 and a production coordinator) and Roy Gattuso (34 and an art director). They decked out the airy space in bright colors of orange, teal and white, from the vibrant bouquets filled with roses and succulents to the bridesmaid dresses and groomsmen ties. The ceremony took place in front of the large windows draped with white linens, surrounded by hanging strings accented with blue flowers. After the couple said "I do," the space was transformed for the reception. Everything was captured on camera by PhotoArt by Lu. Black-and-white numbers marked round dining tables, draped with mint and white zigzag runners. Roses, hydrangeas and leafy greens made up the centerpieces, arranged inside wooden boxes wrapped with lace. Jenna and Roy truly saved the sweetest detail for last: the wedding cake made by Alexandria Pastry Shop. The three-tier masterpiece embodied the day's color scheme, with watercolor designs splashing the surface and fresh flowers decorating the top and sides. Check out more of the light and airy details that made up this classic wedding, below.
