A Bright and Classic Wedding at George Washington Hotel in Winchester, Virginia
Rachel Mosier (25 and a bank auditor) and Tyler Klein (27 and a land-use planner) wanted to get married where they met and where they planned on building a life together, in the quaint town of Winchester, Virginia. Their romantic and elegant wedding took place in the Grand Ballroom at the George Washington Hotel, just around the corner from the pub where they first met. As photographed by Stephanie Leigh Photography, Rachel and Tyler's wedding was beautiful with a color palette of light pink, meadow green, white and silver. The ballroom was decorated classically with centerpieces of ivory garden roses, pink roses, white hydrangeas, pink astilbes and fern leaves that resembled the appliques on Rachel's dress. Rachel wore a strapless lace ball gown by Casablanca Bridal, which she paired with a statement cathedral veil for the ceremony. Her bridesmaids wore floor-length dresses in meadow green, and the groomsmen wore gray suits with black ties. Rachel gave Tyler and his groomsmen Lego cufflinks and surprised Tyler with a gold Lego engraved with their wedding date on it. She also surprised him with a groom's cake that was shaped like a stack of Legos, in addition to the buttercream wedding cake. Rachel says the best thing she did while planning her wedding was to ask for help: "Asking for help when you need it is key. We tried to keep that in mind as we created a wedding that reflected our personalities as a couple."
