A Bold, Glamorous Wedding at George Washington Hotel in Winchester, Virginia

Sarah Williamson (29, assistant) and Adam Fingerman (28, business analyst) met while they were both attending James Madison University. They became best friends and by the time the pair of them moved to Washington, D.C. they were going steady. Adam nervously proposed to Sarah during a walk down memory lane when they returned for a visit to their alma mater. It was important to Sarah that the two of them get married in her hometown, so they chose George Washington Hotel in Winchester, Virginia as their venue. Their fall wedding was glamorous, romantic and fun. Sarah and Adam chose their color palette based off of their venue's ballroom color scheme. "The colors of a wedding have to work with a venue," says Sarah. The bold reds, regal golds and lush whites of Sarah and Adam's wedding flowed beautifully with the formal ballroom in which they held both their ceremony and reception. They were married at an altar decorated with white roses and hydrangeas at the end of an aisle lined with tall gold pedestals filled with white bouquets. Centerpieces consisted of gold vases with red, peach and ivory roses, pink lilies, and red viburnum. Sarah's gold wedding dress, a custom designed piece from Mila Bridal, was truly breathtaking. The back featured an intricate, hand-stitched beaded design and she wore a rhinestone embellished hair accessory to match it. ?Sarah and Adam's gorgeous wedding ended with a wedding shape topped with figurines resembling their alma mater's mascot, reminding them of when they first met.
