Julia Cowher and Matt Ruschell's wedding embodied "vintage, eclectic, romantic," vibes inspired by "nature, cacti, the music and aesthetic of the 1960s and 1970s, and bohemian details." The invitation suite's soft calligraphy with a muted floral design matched the day's florals: Arrangements included dahlias, amaranthus and lisianthus in shades of pink, red and orange, which complemented the eucalyptus and other greenery elements. An aisle covered in vintage rugs and led to a natural willow tree site. "Our ceremony was probably one of the personal parts of our day. My uncle officiated our wedding, and we had my aunt and Matt's close friend perform two readings ("This Will Be Our Year" by The Zombies and "Sonnet XVII" by Pablo Neruda)," Julia says. The eclectic reception was largely DIY—the couple actually thrifted more than 90 pieces of vintage amber-colored glassware for centerpieces. Both the bride and the groom wore soft, romantic, laid-back wedding day looks. Julia went with an white, crochet lace slip dress paired with a flower crown, white snakeskin boots, Matt's grandmother's engagement ring, and silver and turquoise jewelry. Matt wore a tan, textured slim-fit suit with a burgundy tie and brown oxford shoes.
