A Bohemian Woodland Wedding at Tall Timber Barn in Canadensis, Pennsylvania
Jane Qin (31 and works at a tech start-up) and Brandon Medeiros (27 and an asset manager) planned the perfect party in the woods for their wedding. Held at Tall Timber Barn in Canadensis, Pennsylvania, a rustic shelter in the middle of the Pocono Mountains, Jane and Brandon’s wedding evoked the excitement and charm of a summer sleepaway camp and the classic, wooded romanticism of "A Midsummer Night’s Dream." Vintage farm tables, mismatched chairs and jewel-toned glassware added personal flair to the couple's culture-filled, woodland wedding. To honor Brandon's Hawaiian heritage, the couple included a traditional lei ceremony, while Jane's dad paid tribute to her native China by performing a song on an ehru—a two-stringed, bowed instrument similar to a violin. The pair took pride in each ultra-personal piece of decor, from hand-painted dinosaur figurines to dinner menus printed on old family photos. "There was no special motif—we just wanted to include eclectic colors, delicious food, rustic touches and nothing that felt too fussy," Jane says. "That's why the barn was so perfect—it felt like home."
