Lori Virdure and Sebastian Bracy met on vacation in San Juan, Puerto Rico, but they soon realized they grew up in the same city. The pair got engaged about two years later and tied the knot at in Baton Rouge, at a modern rooftop venue. "The inspiration was mostly a vintage-meets-modern and minimal aesthetic," Lori says. "With the venue being a rooftop, we wanted to incorporate our surroundings and the sky as much as possible. Our 'preferred palette' was mostly terra-cotta, organic tonal colors, the sunset and classic neutrals." Decorations consisted mostly of natural and textural flower arrangements, DIY paper goods and thrifted accent pieces. Personal touches stole the show, though: The couple had, for example, quote cards hand-painted by a calligrapher for each guest, broken terra-cotta pot food labels, a surprise gospel choir and a choreographed reception entrance dance. Lori and Sebastian also made a statement with their nontraditional fashion choices. The bride wore a bohemian-inspired tiered gown with sleeves and lace details, which she purchased for $1 from a vintage store. She accessorized with gold earrings and changed into a fitted white dress for the reception. Sebastian sported a terra-cotta-colored suit, a patterned pocket square and gold watch.
