A Bohemian Outdoor Wedding at Schnepf Farms in Queen Creek, Arizona
Samantha Booher and Josh Jacoby created a whimsical garden party for their boho wedding. "I'm a Disney fanatic but didn't want to be too theme-y or gauche," Samantha says. "I used décor and styles that hinted at themes from beloved stories, while curating unique elements to showcase our own story." The bride wanted to tie in pops of yellow "to honor my brother's memory, so I dressed the bridesmaids in marigold," Samantha says. "The guys were in blue, and the mothers in red." The ceremony took place in a whimsical forest against a macramé dreamcatcher that channeled Pocahontas, and mismatched rugs lined the natural aisle. For the reception, guests gathered at a collection of outdoor tables. "Our venue had an amazing stock of items we were able to use, like their vintage couch (for gifts), chair and suitcases (for cards) and display table (for the guest book). I was able to use some of their old books and a teapot to add a nod to Beauty & The Beast as guests signed our guest book," Samantha says. Rather than a traditional number, each table had a picture of an item to signify 10 of the Disney princesses. The wedding's flowers also held meaningful significance. "Roses were used because my middle name is Rose, but they are also my and my brother's birth month flower. I wanted cotton to add a unique whimsical element, but also to signify my beloved Arizona. Chamomile was used to exemplify my love of tea, and the rosemary was for remembrance," Samantha says.
Our favorite #MakeTradition moment: As a nod to her Polish heritage, Samantha wore a folk-art-inspired dress, a braided hairstyle with flower crown and heeled boots with an embroidered flower pattern. "My Polish heritage means a lot to me," she says. The couple also played the Polish celebratory song "Sto lat" at the reception.
