A Bohemian Mountain Wedding at Mount Princeton Hot Springs Resort in Nathrop, Colorado

Haley Garyet (31 and a creative director at Jasper) and Michael Benjamin (33 and a creative director at Anthem Branding) focused on a relaxed, summer-camp-in-the-mountains feel with plenty of DIY details. The couple initially tied the knot at a courthouse a month after they got engaged, but waited a year to throw a bigger bash with family and friends. With hundreds of guests flying in from all over the world, the couple opted for a venue where they could all settle in for the weekend. “We wanted to find a place that showed off the glory of Colorado,” Haley says. The Mount Princeton Hot Springs Resort checked all the boxes with its cozy cabins, panoramic mountain views and steamy hot springs. Old Colorado postcards and retro camp imagery inspired the day’s décor, including the invitation suite. The flower arrangements mimicked the Colorado landscape: a mix of cacti, succulents and wildflowers set in hurricane vases filled with pebbles. As creative professionals, Haley and Michael crafted many of the decorations themselves. They fabricated “XO” canvas banners to hang from the ceremony arch and the reception venue rafters. Haley made miniature clay succulent pots to place at each seat to serve as wedding favors. During cocktail hour, the newlyweds served up their favorite drinks: a negroni for Michael and a gin and elderflower cocktail for Haley.
