A Bohemian Mountain Wedding at Crow Creek Mine in Girdwood, Alaska

As avid travelers and outdoor enthusiasts, Casey Coupchiak and Daniel Sondergaard said their vows nestled between mountains and glaciers at Crow Creek Gold Mine in Alaska. "Looking back at the theme, we wanted rustic, outdoors, bohemian and laid-back," Casey says. "We had burgundy and forest-green hues with the pop of sunflowers to tie it together." The ceremony took place in a thick wooded area of the gold mine. Guests sat on benches while the couple stood beneath a rustic wood structure. Then everyone attended a bohemian-inspired reception, where they ate wild-caught sockeye salmon from the waters of Bristol Bay. "Tying our wedding to the land where my ancestors come from was important to me and provided some of the world's best protein to many guests who weren't from Alaska," Casey says. Since she's a native Alaskan, the bride also wore a traditional Yupik Eskimo headdress made by her mother, complementing her flowing, long-sleeved boho wedding dress and minimal silver jewelry. Casey's bridesmaids wore long dresses in mismatched jewel tones, while Daniel donned a  gray tweed jacket and khaki-colored pants.
