A Bohemian Garden Wedding at Woodinville Lavender Farm in Redmond, Washington
Stella Cha and Jim Fausto planned a relaxed, bohemian fete filled with their favorite things for their summer wedding in Redmond, Washington. “I struggle with being the center of attention, so it was important to me to have elements in the wedding that made me comfortable,” Stella says. “We ended up just choosing whatever we loved and constantly asked ourselves what felt ‘true to us.’ With this being our mindset, we ended up not focusing much on specifics or cohesion, which really made the planning process a lot easier.” With a lavender farm as the backdrop for the festivities, the couple wanted the highlight to be the natural beauty of the setting. To complement the venue’s rustic charm, they opted for wild, organic floral arrangements filled with pampas grass, lavender and wildflowers. Wood farm tables, macramé hangings, antique rugs and, of course, glitter completed the free-spirited vibe. The couple also incorporated nods to their dog, Smooch, throughout the day. The beloved pup made appearances on the cake topper, wedding favors and even on the custom hand-painted leather jacket Stella wore on top of her bedazzled ball gown. At the end of the night, the newlyweds and their guests took turns hitting a colorful piñata filled with lotto tickets and nips. “It really brought the crowd together and was a great way to end the night,” Stella says.
