A Bohemian, Coastal Wedding at The Lookout in Brooklin, Maine

Alexandra (Alle) Weil (31 and a holistic nutritionist) and Tim Peper (35 and an actor) combined their love of Maine’s coastal charm and Georgia O’Keeffe’s artwork to bring their romantic, bohemian theme to life.

“We didn’t want a formal wedding,” Alle says. “We loved the idea of giving the day a more casual feel.” A palette of soft, earthy hues played up the serene setting, where Alle and Tim wed under a driftwood arch handcrafted by the groom. “Tim collected all of the wood with the help of our families,” Alle says.

“I spent most of my childhood summers in Maine, so the location is very special to me,” Alle says of their sentimental venue, which came alive with untamed arrangements of wildflowers and king proteas. The couple worked with 44 North Coffee to create a custom blend that guests eventually took home.

Antler details, natural stone escort cards and beds of moss infused the tented reception with woodland-inspired flair, along with vintage animal illustrations that acted as table numbers. After a farm-to-table feast that was served family style, partygoers indulged in a rosewater cake filled with mulberry honey.
