For their Minneapolis wedding, Shorey Tuetken (34 and an event coordinator at Rocket Science Weddings and Events) and Phil Baebenroth (30 and a deputy sheriff) coined the term "brewery casual" to describe their eccentric affair at a former schoolhouse-turned-taproom. "We both love the Twin Cities' beer scene and wanted a venue that felt fun and different," Shorey says. Out-of-the-box arrangements included a fresh mix of freesia, poppy pods and thistle, while bridesmaids carried flower-filled lanterns in lieu of candles or bouquets. "Once the ceremony was over, we repurposed the lanterns as table centerpieces," Shorey says. "Alcohol is front and center at a brewery wedding, so we gifted everyone with cheeky, Resqwater favors," Shorey says.
