Authenticity is key for Lauren and Will and the pair planned their wedding with that in mind. “I just wanted things to feel meaningful,” Lauren says. “It was a real team effort.” While one friend ran point on watercolor-painting the invites, Will’s mom and his sister’s boyfriend took on the floral design. “Everything was drenched in sentimentality,” Lauren says.

Not only did Lauren and Will serve partygoers his grandmother’s traditional red velvet cake, but the pair also offered slices of her great-grandma’s chocolate cream pie. “One of my favorite childhood memories is making my great-grandma’s pie with her on Thanksgiving, so I definitely needed it there,” Lauren says. Lauren’s ladies rocked different dresses in deep shades of emerald and teal, as well as dangling earrings that Lauren bought them all as a gift.
