A Blush-and-Gold Wedding Along the Atlantic Coast at Belle Mer in Newport, Rhode Island

The city of Newport set the stage for Janelle and Julian's glam waterfront wedding at Belle Mer. The two wed under a modern chuppah overlooking the harbor, while Julian donned a white dinner jacket and nautical bow tie and Janelle rocked a fitted lace gown. After recessing up the petal-lined aisle to Bruno Mars’s “Marry You,” the newlyweds boarded a traditional New England trolley car for photos.

“We lost our breath when we walked into Belle Mer because it was so gorgeous,” Janelle says. Phalaenopsis orchids made up Janelle’s cascading bouquet and Julian’s classic boutonniere. A refined palette of blush, white and gold brought romance to the ballroom reception, where guests dined at tables set with gilded chargers and champagne-colored linens. Buttercream icing covered the couple’s red velvet and lemon cake that was finished with fresh blooms and a custom topper.
