A Blue, Pink and Orange Wedding at Ruffled Feathers Golf Club in Lemont, Illinois

Emily Davis (32) and Justin Scalise’s (30) goal was to fill their wedding with personal details. After a ceremony in Emily's childhood church, everyone went to a cocktail hour decorated with family wedding photos at Ruffled Feathers Golf Club in Lemont, Illinois. Guests enjoyed white sangria and old-fashioned signature drinks picked out by Emily and Justin before making their way into the reception. Then Justin and his friends surprised them with a choreographed dance to “Bye, Bye, Bye,” by 'NSync. (There's nothing like a throwback anthem to get the party started.) A bright palette helped keep up the energy and tie everything together, even the flowers. “I love coral and peach peonies, so that was my initial inspiration,” Emily says. While those were out of season, they made sure every table had a centerpiece with garden roses, ranunculus and hydrangeas in those colors. A vibrant “oasis” blue also accented their stationery and bridesmaid dresses. “I thought it would look good with the peach colors and turquoise succulents that were in the flower arrangements,” Emily says.
