A Blue and White Classic Wedding at Rolling Hills Country Club in McMurray, Pennsylvania

This simple blue and white wedding was all about maintaining and upholding tradition, especially since the couple were married where three other family members had done the same before them. “After looking at wedding venues online, we picked Rolling Hills Country Club in McMurray, Pennsylvania, mainly because of tradition,” Jackie Henderson (25 and a systems analyst) says of her marriage to Matt Kallis (31 and a teacher). “My grandmother was married there, as were two of my cousins, and it has been a staple in our family for Christmas parties, Easter celebrations and many other family events.” Instead of choosing a theme, the couple created their decorations based on their personalities. Matt put his woodworking skills to good use and created rustic boxes that were filled with flowers for the centerpieces at the reception, captured by Photography by Lyndsey. Jackie’s mother painted all the stationery and signs at the wedding to embody her daughter’s love for watercolors. Jackie’s passion for crafting were exhibited with DIY blue tassels. Guests were seated at white-covered tables with blue and gray runners, which were decorated with centerpieces of lush hydrangeas and roses accented with eucalyptus and Queen Anne's lace, arranged by Mount Lebanon Florist. But those weren’t the only flowers present at the wedding that grabbed our attention. Single pastel-color roses stood upright inside blue holders, and each had a guest's name written on the green-paper petals, so everyone could take one home. “One of the reasons we had a bigger wedding and spent so much time on all the details was because we wanted to use our wedding to thank all our family and friends for making us into the people we are today, and really help us find each other,” Jackie says.
