A Blue and White Accented Wedding at Saint Andrew's Episcopal Church in Miami, Florida

Denise Hernandez (24, an accountant) and Kevin Sola (26, an engineer) were introduced by mutual friends but did not start dating until two years later when Kevin messaged her on AIM. The couple and two of Denise’s friends watched the Miami Heat Finals as their first date. “We have been inseparable since, and I wouldn't change it for the world,” says Denise. The proposal came seven years later on their way to a surprise brunch. “I completely didn't even notice the gorgeous ring in front of me and just grabbed and kissed him,” says Denise. Their families waited in the restaurant and took pictures as Kevin proposed with Denise’s grandmother’s diamond in a new setting. Nine months later, Matheson Hammock Park in Miami, Florida, became the backdrop for their wedding. The venue’s natural atmosphere served as their main decor. Each row of white chairs was met with single white roses surrounded by halos of blue hydrangea. White flower petals also lined the aisle. After the park ceremony, Denise, Kevin and their guests moved to the hall at Saint Andrew's Episcopal Church for a white, silver and blue accented reception. The venue brought an additional personal touch to the wedding. “It was also the location where my father and stepmother got married years before,” says Denise. The couple served a plated meal with various options. Their family and friends were entertained by both a photo booth and DJ. “The photo booth was used to print pictures for my guest sign in book and provide favors to the guests. It was a huge hit!” says Denise. Each guest was given a wine glass with a custom logo made by the bride as their wedding favor.
