A Black, White and Pink Beach Wedding at Hotel Zamora in St. Pete Beach, Florida

We've seen our share of beach weddings, but this celebration caught our attention with a stunning wedding dress and a few romantic florals. Lina Herrera (40 and a software business analyst) and Carlos Baerga (46 and a compliance consultant) started their day with a simple ceremony overlooking the ocean. White garden rose pomanders lined the way to their bamboo wedding arbor as palm fronds, hydrangeas and roses accented each post. Don’t even get us started on Lina’s dress! She looked gorgeous when she made her entrance in a fitted, backless wedding dress covered in white lace and accented with an illusion neckline. Her beaded belt was its only embellishment. Once she reached the altar space, they completed a unity-ceremony tradition with sand-filled seashells and a single bulb vase. Soon after, they shared their first kiss and got the party started at Hotel Zamora in St. Pete Beach, Florida. “Our main goal was for everyone to feel relaxed and comfortable like we were having a gathering at our patio at home,” Lina says. Low arrangements of pink roses and white hydrangeas accented each table in a pink and black breakaway vase. To highlight each centerpiece, the pros at Let Them Eat Cake added pink and fuchsia roses to each strawberry, carrot, chocolate or almond layer of the wedding cake. Guests were encouraged to have a slice, snap a few pictures in the photo booth or leave a note in Lina and Carlos’s Nicole Miller photo album before ending the reception with a few dances. For future newlyweds, Lina shared a tip: “Just plan the wedding you feel comfortable with and that's within your budget. If you don't want to spend money on unnecessary things, don't do it. Follow your heart.”
