Vintage wedding photos and Dolce & Gabbana designs inspired Caroline Finnegan (27 and a creative manager) and Steven Mazzone’s (27 and a doctor) winter wedding—a black-tie celebration that took just nine months to plan. “I love glamour and a juxtaposition of feminine and masculine,” Caroline says. “We wanted our wedding to feel elegant and classic but still approachable and full of energy.” The evening kicked off with a Catholic ceremony at Old St. Patrick’s Church, where the bride’s uncle—a member of an Irish pipe band—led the newlyweds back up the aisle while playing the bagpipes. “I felt like modern royalty,” Caroline says of pairing her off-the-shoulder gown with a gilded headpiece. Caroline’s bouquet was bound with her grandmother’s ring and a silk hat that she wore for her christening.
