A Black and White Vintage Wedding at the Hotel Bellwether in Bellingham, Washington

Stephanie Faust (23, a law student) and Kenneth Faust (23, a banker) met at a dance that was thrown for high school students who participated in a debate program offered throughout the nation. Conversation sparked when Kenneth bumped into Stephanie, one thing led to the next, and five years later Kevin surprised Stephanie and proposed to her in her apartment with candles, flowers and her favorite wine. The couple held their wedding a the Hotel Bellwether in Bellingham, Washington surrounded by panoramic views of the beautiful mountains and Bellingham Bay. The color palette of black and white created a vintage look for their wedding day, with old family photo centerpieces on tables and battered antique trunks that complimented the theme. The only element of the wedding that didn't end up being part of the color palette was Stephanie's bouquet, made of blush peonies and white roses, which had a charm with a photo of her grandparents to incorporate memories of them into the wedding day. "We chose to pay homage to our families," says Stephanie. "In addition to the old family photos, we also threw in photos of us when we were little and several we took throughout our relationship."
