On April 15, 2013, Rebekah Gregory and Pete DiMartino were standing near the finish line of the Boston Marathon when a bomb exploded. Since that day, Rebekah has endured 15 surgeries and is still at risk for leg amputation. Pete and Rebekah's son Noah also sustained injuries. Despite their traumatic experience, the two have done their best to move forward and Pete even proposed in October. When we heard about their story, we knew they’d be the perfect couple for The Knot Dream Wedding. Over the months of February and March 2014, America helped decide where the wedding would take place, the theme, the flower arrangements, the bridesmaid looks, the rings, the cake, the wedding gown and Rebekah's makeup and hair look. Voters on theknot.com chose the couple's favorite location, The Biltmore Estate in Asheville, North Carolina, and an Enchanted Garden theme for the wedding of Pete and Rebekah's dreams.
