A Beachy Waterfront Wedding at Skipper's Fish Camp in Darien, Georgia

Shelsea Jenkins, 24, a team coordinator, and Joshua Jackson, 27, who works for South GA Maintenance met through mutual friends. After a slow start, the two became inseparable and after two years of dating, Joshua asked Shelsea to marry him. Both Shelsea and Joshua love the water, so a waterfront location was a must. Darien Waterfront was the perfect setting for the couple’s beachy, nautical-themed wedding. The day kicked off with a waterfront ceremony surrounded by lush manicured lawns, followed up by a lively reception at Skipper’s Fish Camp. A color palette of blue, teal and coral was inspired by the wedding’s waterfront locale and had a vibrant, exuberant feel that reflected the festive, summer season. A tented reception on the docks offered guests exceptional views of the water, while giving the affair a laid-back vibe. Guests played lawn games all night long, the tent's sparkling lights lighting up the docks. Nautical props could be found throughout, with centerpieces being composed of driftwood, netting, shells and understated bunches of baby’s breath mixed in with bright coral and teal blooms. In addition to the décor, the couple chose their wedding traditions based on the day’s theme, incorporating a knot tying unity ceremony into the traditional ceremony.
